- Parent Coaching: Often a new parent or caregiver struggles to adjust to his/her infant’s schedule. The home-based coaching approach is a perfect fit to assist parents and caregivers of toddlers to elementary school children having difficulties with bedtime routines, limit-setting, listening or most other concerns you may have. Change will happen faster because we are addressing these issues as they occur. I will be able to model behavior in real-time.
- Psychotherapy: Treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, or obsessive-compulsive related behaviors that are interfering with your life or work is addressed. I also have the expertise to effectively treat a wide variety of other difficulties you may be experiencing.
- Psychological Evaluations: To contribute to self-understanding, personal growth and self-fulfillment.
Why Choose Me?
- I have been a practicing Licensed Psychologist for 20 years and am known for being an excellent listener, having a good sense of humor, as well as being an extremely perceptive, non- judgmental, creative therapist and problem-solver. I am adaptable and have a wide range of experience to draw upon having worked in the homes of the most challenging families and providing therapy from children to seniors. I also have advanced training in family therapy as well as working with the developmentally disabled. I have worked with children, adolescents, families, adults, and older adults in a variety of inpatient, residential and outpatient and home-based settings.
- As a father myself, I recognize the need sometimes for a third party/expert to present an objective view, when dealing with a challenging situation.
- My professional credentials include a BS degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Psy.D from Nova Southeastern University. I completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Kansas Medical Center focusing on the treatment of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and have advanced training in family therapy. I was the Director of Adult Services and Supervising Psychologist at an American Psychological Association accredited internship site. In addition, I have served as an expert witness and consultant to the VA.
